USARO Steering Group

Open Door Icon (color).png

The USARO Steering Committee was formed to assist institutions involved in biomedical and behavioral research with animals to increase understanding about the importance of animal contributions in providing vital health data. Without public support for animal-based research, foundational scientific advancements and critical medical needs will go unmet.

We pursue "openness" as the foundation upon which institutions will be able to better engage in a meaningful public dialogue about research that requires animals to achieve valuable medical outcomes that improve both  human and animal health.
